Campers create robots using LEGO bricks, gears, pulleys, motors, and sensors, learning how each piece of their robot works through a series of small challenges and builds. Campers also learn how to program their robot using LEGO’s WeDo 1.0 and 2.0 software for Windows. Pictures of robots are sent home after camp. Robots stay at camp.
Who Can Attend ?
Program designed for kids ages 5 - 12, LEGO Young Robotics STEM Camp is a great introduction into computer programming and basic robotics. No previous robotic or programming experience is needed.
What Will Kids Learn ?
Kids will learn robotics using LEGO Education’s WeDo robotic technology. This course encompasses robotics and programming, letting kids turn LEGO bricks, gears and motors into vibrant, interactive creations. Campers will construct and program LEGO bricks to move with motors, react with sensors, and emit sounds from the computer.
